Advent

We had to create a D.L.O about advent and what it represents. I found it hard to summarize the information in my own words. Next time I think I could go into more detail.

Waku

Today we had to use friction to slow down a marble on a ramp. My group's time was 58 seconds. I enjoyed making the slime for this because it was interesting. Next time I think we could not add to much water to the slime and ruin it.

The Jesse Tree

This week we have been learning about the Jesse Tree and the stories behind the symbols. We were learning to summarize information, we had to summarize the stories. I found it hard to find some of the symbols that represented the stories.

Gingernut Dunking

This week we have been learning how to do fair tests, my group decided to do biscuit dunking. I enjoyed doing this because it was an interesting experiment to do. Next time to make it fairer we could measure the amount of milk we put in the tea.

Maths

This week we learnt a new strategy to help us multiply big numbers.

CAMP 2016

Last week the year 5,6,7 and 8's went on camp at Woodend Christian Camp. My favourite activity was the Go Karts. The most difficult activity for me was the climbing wall. 

Forces of Attraction

W.A.L.T... To locate words and summarize information in our own words. For this activity we had to read a text about gravity and then pick 20 keywords to help us put it in our own words. I think my next step is to go into more detail.

Decimals

This is my slideshow about decimal place value and how to add and subtract them. I think my next step is to add a different strategy on how to add and subtract decimals.

Species Reintroduction

W.A.L.T... To explain species reintroduction and improve our critical skills by reading multiple texts about one big idea. I enjoyed learning about how animals are reintroduced. I think my next step is to add an image.

Forces and Motion

We have been looking at forces and motions and had to make a game around them using a marble. I enjoyed working with others on this slide. I think next time I could include more images.

Horses

This term we have been researching our own topics, I chose horses. I enjoyed working on this because the topic was something I was interested in. I found it hard to find correct information since their were so many sources of information.
