The Jesse Tree

This week we have been learning about the Jesse Tree and the stories behind the symbols. We were learning to summarize information, we had to summarize the stories. I found it hard to find some of the symbols that represented the stories.

Forces of Attraction

W.A.L.T... To locate words and summarize information in our own words. For this activity we had to read a text about gravity and then pick 20 keywords to help us put it in our own words. I think my next step is to go into more detail.

Why Recycle?

We have been learning about why we recycle and how it affects the environment. In my group of four we created a quiz about recycling. I found it hard to find accurate information on the internet. 

Olympic Reading Activity

W.A.L.T.. Locate and use a range of texts for specific purposes. In reading we have been focusing on The Olympics. We had to choose two countries and research them and create a D.L.O about them. I think next time could add some more information about the geographical features in Mexico and Germany.

Past and Present - David Hill

Describe something nasty or nice a character did and explain why they did it?

When Matthew gave a present to Api he was surprised and he said ‘what’ but he sounded rude when she said it. He also didn’t accept his present and he knocked it out of his hand. He did it because he doesn’t want to lose his friends or be left out. He doesn’t really want to be seen with Matthew because the class doesn’t really like him.
